Her Side:

After our initial meetup, we became friends. We talked everyday, just getting to know each other and talked about our lives and things that we've been through and things we want to do in our future. David thought Alysha was just so interesting. He loved hearing her life stories and lessons. He then thought, she is so cool. I would love to just hang out with Alysha and just have a carefree day and just have simple fun. Nothing came to mind as far as a romantic encounter, he just wanted to get to know her as a person more. He thought about, ok what is cool, and more of a place we could hang out as friends and not make it a date? So David looked online and found the Color Factory. He thought, it looks fun, and more of a place for friends and not much of a date. He asked her to go and she said yes. David was very excited to see Alysha again. The only time the two hung out were social events. So the day of the "Friendly" date, he got to the parking lot. He was nervous. Alysha called David and let him know she was parking. They got out of the car, and David saw her. His heart palpitate and his mouth increased a smile bigger than his face. In his head he was just speechless on how beautiful she was. They gave each other a hug and went and enjoyed the day. Throughout the day, they had the best time. It was a lot of laughs, jokes, and activities. The thing is, they both knew that this date was just as friends, but both had felt more than that. They were becoming attracted to each other and both knew that eventually in the future, this may become much more than friends. When David got home that night, he took his receipt, and items that was collected throughout the day, and he put them in a box for memories. He knew this was the start of more to come and he wanted to save every wonderful memory he could of being with Alysha.

Just before the sunset on July 16th 2025 while they were sitting on their hotel balcony in Mykonos Greece, David pulled out a small bag holding some special sentimental items. From their very first date at the Color Factory, David had been saving receipts, tickets, wrist bands and other items from their special dates leading up to the proposal. As we spent time reflecting back on our memories, it brought so much love, laughter and beautiful experiences back into our hearts. All the while Alysha wondered if this was the moment David was going to propose. He did not. Instead he put the bag away and asked Alysha if she wanted to go for a walk on the beach. It had already been a long day because they had gone on a long tour so they didnt really feel up to the walk but Alysha really wanted to see the sunset for the last time and David wanted to make sure she saw it. So they headed to the beach to see the sunset for the last time. As they stood on the beach with the water glazing over their feet, David started talking about why he brought the bag. He told Alysha how he wanted to have more dates like that in the future as she wiped the sand off her feet oblivious to the actual proposal. David got down on one knee in the water and pulled out a ring. Alysha said yes so fast that she didn't see David's knee hit the sand. As Alysha looked up, she saw a beautiful golden sunset glistening over the calm waters of Greece. Fun Facts About the Proposal: Alysha later found out that her son was with David when he went to go pick up the ring. David involved Alysha's closest family and friends in on the proposal which made it so special The proposal happened with a temporary ring and Alysha got her custom ring once they got back from Greece David got Alysha's father's approval on Thanksgiving in 2024
