Our story actually began 10 years ago, while in grad school, I was bartending at a restaurant, and one particular night Michael walked in with a group of friends to celebrate his birthday. I caught a glimpse of him from afar and asked my gf Rachel (as social of a butterfly as they come) who the tall dark, haired guy in the black shirt was, and pointed to him across the way. She replies with "oh, him? that's Michael Gerbick" and I responded with "I'm going to marry that man." Low and behold, Michael never came up to the bar that night, the following day I took it upon myself to find and message him on Facebook. Fast forward 4 years and several serious relationships later, Michael asks me to dinner. It took 3 months and my mother's persuasion before I finally said yes, which ultimately lead to one of the best decisions I've made.
