Boyce and I met in college in the fall of 2017. I was nineteen and he was twenty-two. We were absolute polar opposites with our only similarity being our recent breakups; we were about as emotionally available as pair of paper weights. Neither of us had plans to date or trust another potential partner for some time. Imagine our surprise when a stranger almost manages to change that perspective in one night. Our chemistry was immediate. We had a long conversation about our past relationships and the toll the breaks had taken on us, and both decided that we were not ready to start again so soon. But it was too easy to talk to each other; we decided to set boundaries and remained friends. Four weeks later, on the first day of 2018, I asked Boyce to be my boyfriend. Two years and four months later, I asked him to marry me. Boyce is the opposite of any person I have been with in the past. He is patient, reserved, and practical, yet somehow full of life and creativity. He's ambitious, but not over-confident, introverted, but not anti-social, and so intelligent without ever flaunting it. He is the perfect stable balance to my ever-changing dispositions. Alyse adds so much excitement to my life that I did not know I needed. She has introduced me to so many new people, places, ideas and opportunities I never knew existed. If I had to describe her in two words, beautiful chaos does the trick, but still falls woefully short of encompassing her entirely. She is the toughest woman I know while still having a heart of gold. My day to day routine can get boring, and I have never had someone in my life that can add the perfect amount of fire and high energy to combat that. We are both so excited and blessed to share this day and our stories with you! Please feel free to browse the website at your leisure. If you have any questions, please reach out to Boyce or Alyse and we both hope to see you on the big day!
