Paul was the handsome trainer in the back of the room when I arrived for my second day of training for my new job. We didnt talk for the whole month of training, we finally started to slowly become friends over the next few months. If Paul saw me walk by at work to go to the bathroom, he would pretend he had to fill up his water bottle at the drinking fountain which was right next to the bathrooms. I would come out, see him there and get SO nervous to talk to him. Of course we fell in love fast, and moved in together May of 2017. Since then, we’ve had 1 apartment, 2 houses and now have 2 dogs together! Ready to take this next step in our lives with all your support! Paul proposed July 3rd, 2018 at Meadowbrook Mansion at Oakland University. He told me that we were going on a “fancier date” but wouldnt tell me where we were going. I didnt think it was anything more than just a fun day/night out. 20 minutes into our drive, he had me close my eyes, so I wouldnt know where we were. We parked, I got out of the car- eyes still closed. He walked me a few steps and told me to open my eyes. I was standing in front of the mansion (as I suspected). He had a scavanger hunt planned and the first clue took us to the fountain. A long time ago, we both made a wish in the fountain. I wished to always be with him and for a happy future, im sure he wished the same. ANYWAYS, We’re on our walk to the fountain, and he starts telling me how im his best friend and he loves me, hes starting to cry, I see 2 violen players off to the side that started playing as soon as they saw us. I WAS STILL CLUELESS. It wasnt until he got down on one knee that I realized what was happening. Our families and friends were hiding inside this whole time and poor Paul was on his knee for a while while I hysterically CRIED and of course said yes. Then all of our family and friends came running out of their hiding place, my brother was in a bush, and we celebrated and cried more and now here we are!!
