I have found the one who my soul loves.

The way we met is actually nothing special..but I'll be real here. We were in highschool and We had mutual friends...my bestfriend was his bestfriends girlfriend. One day after school my friend told me he had asked about me and had told them that I have beautiful eyes....it kinda supprised me because being in highschool that's usually the last thing boys notice. So me being me I got his number and sent him a text that just said "Hey its lysa." When he got the text he was on the roof of the place he worked at and thought it was the lady that cut his hair "Lisa". and after that we just began texting wich eventually led to us hanging out wich led to us getting together but that's a whole other story. Nothing exciting right? No grand love story here. 😂 But it's our story and because of that I love it.

So the first date. The first date wasn't even really a date. It was one of my favorite days but I'm not sure you'd consider it a date. So we met up at my best friends aunts house where he was with her and her boyfriend (his bestfriend) So we meet there and we hangout on the porch for a while then we decide we are going to go longboard. So we drove to Foothill Blvd wich for anyone who doesnt know where that's at it's a rode up above Walmart. Anyways so we get there and I'm pretty much refusing to get on a longboard. (dont want to fall and completley embarrass myself on the first day right?) so he some how managed to talk me into it by telling me he will hold my hand and make sure I dont fall. So I get on the longboard and we ride down the hill and to Walmart. A guy that was walking outside saw us and told us we were the cutest thing hes ever seen lol. anyways so we walked through walmart and then left and decided to get milkshakes so we headed to Baskin-Robin's. I wouldnt tell him what I wanted ( I was 15 and didnt eat in front of boys)😂 so he got me a mint chocolate chip shake. (man after my own heart) anyways so after that we went back to my friends aunt's house where we sat on the porch and he pushed me on the hammock for like an hour. We decided to leave there and walked from there to North middle school where I pretty much gave him my whole life story and that waswhen I knew, I knew I loved him...people may say it was too early but I fully knew on the first day we met that he was the one I wanted to marry. It was the way he listened to me like he wanted me to be heard and treated me like a real person that got me.. He wasnt on his phone or spacing out...he was genuinely listening to me. Anyways..we sat at North and talked for a while and then he looked at his phone and realized he had like 10 missed calls from his dad. The way he panicked gave me the impression that his dad was an a** (I was completley wrong for the record.) so he walked me back to the top of the street and said good bye where his dad came and picked him up and we had our last first kiss. belive me when I say.. May 31st will forever be one of my favorite days.

It was like a week before my birthday and I had been asking him for weeks if he was going to "engage me" for my birthday lol After all we had been together 6 years, had 3 babys ,and lived together for about 4 and a half years. He just kept saying "we will have to wait and see" or "I dont know about that" WELLLLL it was 2 days before my birthday and he comes and wakes me up to let me know he was going to go down stairs and "play games for a while" (Really he was going to pick up my ring.) Me being half asleep and it being 7 in the morning I was kinda like "yeah ok as long as you leave me alone and let me sleep" So a few hours pass and he comes up and gets in bed and he starts to talk to me. (I'm still dead asleep and growing irritated that he wouldnt stop talking.) He starts talking about this big scrap book idea and I keep dosing off and just trying to go back to sleep because it was to early to life right then. So then he goes: "Hey" and me in my grumpiest voice am like: "what?! I'm sleeping?" and he starts laughing and goes: "you really dont wanna be awake for this?" so I'm like okay stop being an a** and wake up and listen to this idea of his that he really obviously cares about and thinks is important if hes waking me up to talk about it. so in the nicest voice I could give him given the circumstances I'm like: "yeah no your fine what's up?"

"yeah no your fine what's up?" and hes like: " so I was thinking we should make a scrapbook type thing or the thing you can put pictures in" and me I'm my head I'm like did he really just wake me up to talk about a damn scrap book? but I continued listening because clearly it was important to him lol anyways he was like "I was thinking we could put pictures of us and the kids as they grow up and have like small pages for the random pictures and normal days. and then for the big days like the kids birthday and holidays and (pulls out THE ring ) the do you still wanna marry me? days we could make big pages" I am not even kidding you when I tell you my heart almost fell out of my butt all I could say was "wait really?" "Are you being serious?" "Really?" "For real?" I said "For real?" for like 30 minutes before he asked "is that a yes?" and obviously I said yes or we wouldnt be here on our wedding page telling stories lol. So that's how he proposed. The reasoning behind him doing it while I was half asleep is because 1. he got the ring and was too excited to wait and 2. he said he felt like it would be more sentimental if I wasnt done up with my make up and...he said he loves me even when I'm just rolling out of bed with morning breath and mascara smears down my face lol So that's how he proposed litterally making my birthday the best birthday in the world. I mean every girl dreams of the day their human proposes to them right?
