Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

RSVPs are now open, so please RSVP as soon as possible! It will greatly help us in the planning process the earlier we know. The deadline is February 1, 2026.

What should I wear? What kind of shoes should I bring?

Answer

Please refer to the 'Schedule' tab for the proper dress code for each event accordingly. For the wedding day, we have compiled some inspiration pictures on this Pinterest board: https://pin.it/4g4bo5gRX In general, pack comfortable walking shoes or sneakers. You'll want to explore and walk around the city, so you'll be on your feet. While exploring in the city we do not recommend heels as the streets are cobbled. On the wedding day, some parts of the villa grounds are pebbled, and can be uneven and cobbled in places - so maybe skip the stilettos!

What will the weather be like?

Answer

In late May in Florence, you can expect pleasantly warm weather with average daytime highs in the mid-to-high 70s Fahrenheit, clear skies, and comfortable evenings in the mid 60s Fahrenheit.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love kids, unless specified on the invitation, kids will not be invited.

Should I rent a car? How should I get around?

Answer

We strongly discourage getting a car, and definitely do not recommend it in Florence. The streets are very narrow and many areas are for pedestrians and authorized traffic only. Taxis are typically the preferred way of traveling. Some taxi apps to download ahead of time are itTaxi, appTaxi, and FREENOW (MyTaxi). Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, our welcome cocktail hour, wedding ceremony, and dinner will be outdoors - but the after dinner party will be indoors.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

For guests staying in Florence, Villa Medicea di Lilliano is about a 20 minute car ride from the city center. We will be working with our wedding planner for shuttle/taxi options. We will update you as soon as possible! For the guests staying on-site, there will be a shuttle to the main Villa from La Torre villas arranged by the villa management. Guests staying on-site at La Corte will be right next to the main Villa.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We will be hosting a welcome dinner and a recovery pool party at the La Torre Villa within the Villa Medicea di Lilliano venue (please see 'Schedule' for more details).
