How We Met Luke and Aly met in High School in 2014, and immediately clicked as friends. They laughed all the time as Luke often tried to speak to Aly in Spanish and come up with the silliest words to make her laugh. As time went on they graduated High School in 2016, and went on with their lives. Aly began her studies at The University of Alabama and Luke enlisted in the U.S Military (Navy). Our Love Story... Three years later in 2019 Luke surprised his family and came home on leave from Bahrain (A Country in the Middle East). Luke’s sister, Rebecca told Aly he had surprised the family and Aly stopped by his house to see him that day, and they began hanging out almost every day while he was on leave. During this time, Luke went to an Alabama game at Bryant Denny Stadium, where he had a great time with his sister Rebecca, Kari, Aly and a couple other friends. It was at this game that Luke told Aly how he had feelings for her since high school, and hoped to see her again someday to tell her how he felt about her. So he did, and now the rest is history!! The Proposal Luke proposed to Aly on December 18, 2021, when she was visiting him over her christmas break in Guam (A U.S. island territory in Micronesia, in the Western Pacific, where Luke is currently stationed). Luke wanted this day to be very special and meaningful to both of them. On this day, Luke told Aly they would be going to a very special dinner and to dress up. On their way to the restaurant Luke told Aly he wanted to make a stop to take some pictures during sunset. Luke proposed at Two Lovers Point in Guam, where he rented a private lookout point that rises 368 feet from the reef below, offering views over Tumon Bay and the Pacific Ocean, with the most romantic view. As Luke walked Aly up to the lookout, Aly saw a photographer taking pictures of them, and knew what was about to happen. When they made it to the top there was a gorgeous assemble with flowers, champagne, lights and candles. During sunset, Luke got down on one knee, rings were presented, hugs and kisses were shared, and it was a beautiful moment they will both cherish forever. We're so excited for you to join us as we say "I do" at our wedding. See you soon!
