Hi Friends and Family!

Aly was visiting a friend (Hello Jen!), and it just so happened that Jen had a roommate, Dave. It was on this particular evening they realized a shared interest: going to climbing competitions, partially to climb hard, but mostly to score free climbing gear, food and beer. In a few weeks there would be one of these in Chattanooga so they decided, "why not just go together?" The drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains gave them plenty of time to share music, swap climbing stories and get to know each other a little bit. It was Halloween weekend, so after checking into their hostel they decided it would only be appropriate to put on bright-colored wigs and romp around the city a bit. Despite an early roll call, they stayed up until midnight at the hostel's bonfire just enjoying each others company. The rest of the weekend went as planned: a little climbing, a lot of smiles and plenty of free climbing gear. When they got back to the Carolinas there wasn't a doubt in either Dave or Aly's mind whether this would be their last adventure together. Dave tried to play it cool, but he only lasted until Monday afternoon to ask Aly on their first "official" date. She said yes, and they have been going on dates ever since.
