Telling this story makes me feel like I'm in a movie... so please enjoy. Tim always talked about the day he was going to propose, and how it was going to be so out of the blue yet so perfect for me. We celebrated 3 years dating in May of 2021, and have had countless adventures and ups-and-downs with the unbridled pandemic shoving itself in the midst of our relationship. There were 2 other times I suspected he would've proposed: - on our trip to Nashville, on stage at the Grand Ole Opry (NOPE!) - at Kenny Chesney, a concert we'd finally gotten to see after buying the tickets as a newly dating couple in 2019, and getting to finally see him live for the first time (NOPE! again!) Instead, on a random Saturday night, Tim arranged for all of our friends and family to get together in his backyard to watch a slide show he "worked so hard on to celebrate all of us." So everyone started showing up, he set up his big projection screen and started playing our favorite songs, like usual. Everything seemed normal until the slideshow started and the first three pictures were pictures of all of us (our friends and family) and then it slowly started fading into pictures of us, and then just me. With "What You Mean to Me" by Brett Eldridge blaring through the speakers, this was about to become one of the happiest moments of my life, surrounded by everyone I loved. By the end of the song, he slyly mentioned, "You know I love you right?" and got down on one knee, right there, asked his question to which I replied through thunderous sobs, "No-no-no not-uh! I will!!!!"
