We are excited to celebrate with you, but the wedding on Saturday 8/22 is open to Adults (16+) only. We are hosting in an Art Museum and for insurance purposes private events are closed to children. Thank you for your understanding.
We will be honoring a Nigerian tradition in celebrating the marriage of the young couple. Guests are welcomed to wear traditional Nigerian Yoraba attire in cream and gold (which are the community colors). Please note that Nigerian attire is not required. If you choose not to wear Nigerian attire, please wear cream and/or gold. (A note on cultural sensitivity. Please note that all African cultures are not created equal. If you chose to wear African attire, please note that our family is of the Yoraba tribe. If you have questions, please ask.)
The attire for Saturday is Summer Black Tie. This means formal long dresses for women and suit with jacket and tie for men. Any color (including black) is welcomed except white. Please do not wear the color white; that color is reserved for the bride.
Please note that the ceremony will start promptly at 6:30p local time. Doors will close at 6:25p so that we can start lining up the wedding party. If you do not arrive prior to 6:25p, you will not be allowed to enter the ceremony late. You will be directed to the cocktail hour area to wait there. We want to ensure we don’t distract from the ceremony taking place. Thank you for arriving on time.
