Alvin and Irene met on the Hinge dating app and had their first date in Arcadia, where they enjoyed ramen at Ramen Nagi and took a walk at the Los Angeles County Arboretum. They quickly bonded over shared values, a love for food, and similar family backgrounds—both from Huế, Vietnam. Soon after, Alvin invited Irene to a Lunar New Year family gathering. Irene admired Alvin’s deep love for his family and their love story took off from there. Over the years, they’ve shared many adventures, moved in together, and bought a home in West Covina. On May 28th, 2025, during a trip to Hawaii, Alvin proposed to Irene on Lanikai Beach—and she said yes! Now, they look forward to a joyful and supportive marriage..
