We met while working at Chili's together. Alice was still commuting to SF for school and Jose was working overtime. On Alice's 21st birthday, Jose and Alice started to hang out and get to know each other more. Eventually, they started dating (for the record, Alice asked Jose out first!) and dates consisted of long dinners (usually pasta or sushi), movies, and going out with friends.

One year in, we started becoming pretty serious and had just moved in together. Along with Roxy (a rambunctious Lab-Husky), Alice and Jose made some incredible memories living with roommates and bouncing around Hayward. In 2019, Jose finally got around to popping the question to Alice (after a chaotic birthday surprise celebration in NOLA, Alice's fave restaurant). After getting engaged, they bought their first home later that year right before the pandemic hit (where they hoarded plenty of toilet paper), traveled for the first time together on a solo trip to Maui, and grew closer to each others' families along the way. Since 2021, they've welcomed a new puppy, Misty (Aussie Shepherd), to their lives and are excited to travel a little more before starting their family.

Jose and Alice decided to get married on April 22, 2021, after the sudden loss of Alice's mom (life is fleeting). They wed at home surrounded by an intimate group of friends and family for a truly special day. Nothing will ever replace this beautiful memory and the plan was to always host a bigger party and share in the full experience with friends and family.
