The Balmeo-Alvarado Wedding

local life

Born & raised in Southern California, Alahnna has accumulated a long list of favourite places in San Diego. Here is a short list of must-see locations 20 minutes or less from the heart of Downtown. Fun fact: Ronny has previously said that some parts of SD resemble Brazil!
Seaport Village

Seaport Village

849 W Harbor Dr, San Diego, CA 92101

Drop by Greek Islands Cafe for a gyro platter, then treat yourself at Seaport Coffee & Fudge. Pick up souvenirs for the office at The Mugger or find something fabulous & functional at Urban Girl Accessories. Whatever you do, don't pass up Upstart Crow Coffeehouse & Bookstore, home to a unusual trinkets & a plethora of books - both modern & classic. Catch up on Shakespeare, browse the shelves & nibble on some flan - much like Alahnna has done here since her pre-teens. Fun fact: Alahnna has a tattoo in homage to this well-known local gem.

Extraordinary Desserts

1430 Union St, San Diego, CA 92101

A must-eat-visit-experience for Alahnna every time she visits her hometown. Enjoy a beautiful cheese plate, followed by a decadent cake adorned in edible flowers. You can't go wrong with their 5 different kinds of bruschetta! They also offer a large variety of wine, beer & mixers.

Cabrillo National Monument

San Diego, CA 92106

The first place the couple went to when Ronny visited for the first time in October of 2014. (He was battling food poisoning at the time!) The Point Loma area offers some of the most scenic views of the Pacific Ocean in San Diego County. Take a small jaunt down to the tidepools for a quick peek at some aquatic critters.

Balboa Park

San Diego, CA

The second place the couple went to when Ronny visited for the first time in October of 2014. (He was STILL battling food poisoning at the time!) Near the World Famous San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park is home to some of the most iconic museums in San Diego. Enjoy an iced coffee from the Prado as you take a short walk through the Balboa Botanical Building. If you're lucky, you'll catch a free show at the Organ Pavilion. Don't forget to check out the fountain!
