The Time Has Come!

Tyler and Emma first met at his parents house after both of their moms thought they should meet. The night ended after playing a few games together and an awkward goodbye. Emma took the first step in asking when they could get together again. The two started talking and texting and hit it off. They stayed friends as Tyler still lived in Northfield, 3ish hours away. When Tyler moved back to Virginia, the two began to hangout a lot more and became much closer. They texted just about everyday since that night. Tyler and Emma become close friends before making it official on 12.4.2023 when Emma told Tyler she wanted him to ask her out officially. Their love grew immensely over their first year as a couple.

On the anniversary of their first year dating, the couple decided to go back to where they had their first date, Bentlyville in Duluth. Emma and Tyler drove down to Duluth early to make a day of it, Emma could tell something was up when she noticed Tyler acting a little strange. She started to ask questions, but Tyler dismissed them. They did some shopping and went to dinner where Emma noticed Tyler’s family happened to be in Duluth as well. She thought it coincidental but didn’t put two and two together. On the way down to the shore, they got stuck in traffic for almost two hours! That’s when Emma noticed her family was at Bentlyville too. Tyler hadn’t been nervous until they started getting closer to the place and Emma started asking questions. She still had no clue what was happening and the two continued on. Once they got in and up to the big tree, their families came out of “hiding” and surprised them. The couple took a few pictures and when Emma turned around, Tyler was grabbing for the ring and getting down of one knee! He asked and she said yes, of course! Fun fact, Tyler proposed with his great grandmother’s ring. Now they can’t wait to spend forever together and celebrate with all of you!
