YES. US residents do not need a visa to enter Costa Rica, however they must have a current valid passport and a return ticket to exit Costa Rica. US passports must be valid for a minimum of one day from the day you enter Costa Rica. Please have your passport ready before you make reservations.
If you've never traveled outside of the US, don't worry! There's a first time for everything and we're here to help you with as much as possible along the way. For those of you booking flights, please be aware that when you travel outside of the US (whether it is a direct, non-stop flight or you anticipate booking travel with a layover) you will need to fill out Customs & Border patrol forms (given to you on your flight by the flight crew), re-claim your baggage and have your baggage go through Customs & Border Patrol before exiting to your final destination or traveling to your listed gate for a connecting flight. Depending on the airport and day of travel, this process can be quick or take some time to complete. Please be sure that if you are booking flights with a layover that you calculate enough time in between flights to ensure smooth travel. Absolutely! While we would love our guests to stay onsite of the wedding, we understand you may want to venture out and look at other options. Please check out the following: Airbnb (feel free to team up and book a vacation rental house on airb-n-b. If this is an option you are really interested in) -Oceano (5 miles from Villa Calletas y Zephyr Palace) -Los Suenos Marriott (2 miles from Villa Calletas y Zephyr Palace) -Best Western Jaco Beach (5 miles from Villa Calletas y Zephyr Palace)
We understand how limiting time, health and funds can be. If you can't afford to be there, or you aren't physically able to be there for any reason you have, we LOVE YOU and WE UNDERSTAND completely! We HOPE, but don't EXPECT you to be there. We have tried to provide some options for varying budgets and needs and it would be so very wonderful to see you there. The ceremony will be LIVE STREAMED. Your presence will be missed, but your absence will be understood and you are welcome to watch.

This decision is entirely up to you. The driving in C.R. Is on the right side of the road, just like in the U.S., but this country does not have the best reputation, like some of the cities many of you are coming from may also not have, and the street signs may not be big and visible as you are accustom to. Please research what it is like as a foreigner using GPS directions and driving in C.R. Drive defensively and be very careful. We do want you to enjoy your trip and make it back home safely. Use your own discretion.
