Amanda: Matt and I met on Match.com and seemed to hit off right away, which soon turned into him asking for a date. I was excited, but we had to schedule it about a week in advance, because I was in Las Vegas at the time with family. Throughout the week, Matt really didn't say anything to me, so I just thought I got "ghosted" and didn't think anything of it till he confirmed the plans on the 27th morning, which I said yes to, because I didn't have a whole lot going on that day. Anyways, when I finally met him, I was so nervous, I came 30 minutes early and almost knocked over the table at Porch Light. Date went great, and we just kept scheduling to see each every few days afterwards. What Matt wrote: When Matt connected with Amanda online, he was clueless about dating. He followed Match.com’s advice to “text sparingly before the first date.” It turns out this advice is terrible when the first date is delayed due to a vacation. Their first date almost didn’t happen. Luckily, Amanda gave Matt a chance anyway. Unlike many awkward first dates, time flew by with endless talking and laughing. They hugged goodbye and Matt learned his lesson - he texted back that same night!
