Hollywood...day party....Skrillex...the end. We were both out and up to no good, fast forward and the rest is history. Not the most romantic I know but we wouldn't have it any other way.
Now here's a romantic story. Jorge and I were on a vacation in Europe, undoubtedly a trip of a lifetime. Our third stop was the one and only Venice, Italy. After a day of tours, pizza and aperol spritz we decided to go on a must do authentic Venetian gondola ride. While we were standing in line, Jorge went to the market next around the corner to grab some wine and when he got back, there still was no gondola insight so he turned around and asked the lady behind us if she would take a picture of us on a small canal bridge a few feet away. I thought to myself "that's odd, Jorge is never the first person to initiate a photo.." and then I thought, "well we are in Venice" so I proceeded to the bridge without question. When I got the the top of the bridge, I turned to face Jorge and at that moment he got on one knee, opened a small box that had this obnoxious LED light shining on this beautiful ring that about blinded me and what sounded to be the start of a rap song he said "Yo Christina, will you marry me?" I had never seen Jorge so nervous in my life....I had never been so nervous in my life! It felt like we were suddenly in a time warp, everything around us was silent and what felt like an eternity, I said yes, Jorge handed me the ring, I stood there confused handing it back and with adrenaline at it's peak, we finally helped each other figured out which finger to place it on. It wasn't until we started to go back down the bridge that I felt a rush of emotion come over me realizing what had just taken place...and the tears started to pour...happy tears of course. People commonly ask did you expect it? My answer is no...I did not think Jorge was that creative (no offense babe). There aren't too many people that could pull off flying half way across the world, winging it to find the right time to ask a stranger to capture this picture perfect moment so seamlessly. It was a proposal I could have only dreamed of and I am forever grateful for this beautiful memory.
