Tara Sarath invited Eitan to a 'holiday' party in Williamsburg in December 2013 where he showed up 2 hours early, or on time as he recalls. Heather Baysa invited Aurora to a 'St. Nicholas/Christmas' party at the same apartment, asking her to come as soon as possible to help entertain the early bird. Differing accounts, depending on who you ask, are given as to the nature of the party, though Aurora distinctly recalls there being a Christmas tree, Christmas lights, and empty shoes for St. Nicholas to deposit candy into. However, Eitan assures her it was in fact a technicolored Hanukkah bush. Regardless of whose version you wish to believe, there is no doubt that we hit it off immediately and have been together ever since.
Eitan proposed to Aurora in December 2020 at the American Museum of Natural History, where he took her on one of their first dates. As wedding preparations began to take shape and the two-year long wait to marry began, patience ran out. We eloped to Rome and were officially married on November 11, 2021. We sealed the deal with personal vows, a couple of signatures, and a 'cake cutting' of tiramisu for two. Now that pandemic restrictions have eased somewhat we want to celebrate our marriage with our loved ones, renew the vows we took a year ago in front of our nearest and dearest, and bring both our families together in one place to dance the hora and the wedding tarantella.
