In 2019, Alondra and Marcus were both attending Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, NM. Alondra was studying forensics and Marcus was double majoring in sociology and criminal justice. Our favorite professor, Dr. Camarillo, was the head of a criminal justice club known as the Justice League, and invited Marcus and Alondra to join as we were top preforming students in his classes (and he enjoys our company). That was the first time Alondra and Marcus met was in the JWLA building. At first, we were a crime stopping trio who would constantly hold side conversations during meeting laughing about ridiculous memes, fetching food at La Espiga or El Rancho, and stand outside in the blistering cold finishing up our hilarious conversations. 6 years later they walked down memory lane, and Marcus purposed at ENMU where they met right outside the JWLA building in the center of campus. With his best friend Chase capturing whole thing on tape.

This was Alondra and Marcus’ first “unofficial date” (it is called unofficial for reasons). Alondra had been visiting an old friend from back home in Virginia. As he is in the military and was stationed out at CAFB. Marcus had mentioned that he was in Clovis, NM, and offered to hang out at Buffalo Wild Wings. When they were ordering their wings, Alondra ordered them to be sauced in Mango Habanero. Which at the time was apparently too hot for Alondra to handle. Her nose was running, eyes watering, and looked like a mess. The waiter comes by, shaking a kids bottle of milk, and says “here, you clearly need this.” Marcus and Alondra die laughing at the table.
