Juan and Alondra first initially met through a mutual friend. They spoke a few times on face time and Juan caught some feelings. After contemplating it for a few days, Alondra stopped contacting Juan because of a prior relationship. Juan always thought about finding a girl like Alondra to marry, even though he had never truly been with her. A few years later, Alondra needed a prom date. The prom date she had told her he can no longer attend with her due to unforeseen circumstances, so the first person she thought of was Juan. Alondra had reached out to Juan a few times, waiting for a yes. After finally nudging him to say yes, she had changed her mind. In the end Alondra decided to go to prom on her own, but when she arrived, she couldn't help but be drawn to him. They danced together the whole night. When she realized how much fun she had with him the next morning, she decided to reach out (of course Juan was waiting for the text from her the next morning). Alondra and Juan decided their first "hangout," which was really a date, would be to get ice cream together: and the rest is history.
