The Salt Flats (or Las Salinas de Cabo Rojo) are one of Puerto Rico’s oldest natural salt mining areas, dating back to the time of the Taíno people and later developed by the Spanish. Sometimes the water is pink, and it is pretty cool.
Now, this restaurant is a very special one for me. My family has been coming here for generations, ever since my dad was a little boy. I absolutely love their seafood taquitos (especially the crab one!), and they’re only $1.25 Joshua and I have had many dates here—it’s one of our favorite spots in Cabo Rojo.
