We'll continue to update this section with information as its announced. As part of Hawaii's "Safe Travels" program, as of Feb. 2022 all visitors must be fully vaccinated (meaning two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccine or one shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) to travel to the state and avoid the 5-day quarantine requirement. Our wedding venue requires guests to be vaccinated against COVID-19 (meaning two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccine or one shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine). A negative COVID-19 test will not be accepted by the venue as a vaccination alternative. Proof of vaccination must be submitted prior to the wedding. We’ll be in contact in March with details. To protect the safety of our guests, our vendors will be vaccinated.
Formal attire. For women, we suggest evening gowns. For footwear, we recommend avoiding stiletto shoes since the ceremony and reception will take place on grass. For men, suits or tuxedos are recommended. Long pants and closed-toed shoes. The entire event will require minimal walking. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception are completely outdoors and will take place on grass.
Please arrive at the Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute by 4:00 p.m. to accommodate for finding parking, walking to the ceremony site (located at Phase 2) and selecting a seat. There will be live music to enjoy and the ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 p.m.
There is only one airport on Oahu. The Daniel K Inouye International Airport, is located in Honolulu and labeled as HNL to the airlines. We recommend staying on the West side of the island in the Ko Olina or adjacent communities, as it will be very close to the venue. Please take a look at the Travel page on our website for some hotel options.
While there are no room blocks or wedding group rate available, if you are interested in booking Aulani, Disney Resort & Spa, there may be an individual discounted room rate available at this property. If you are planning to book this property, please contact the bride-to-be for details. More suggestions for places to stay can be found on the Travel page.
Due to COVID restrictions and our desire to keep our special day as intimate as possible, only those named on your invitation are invited to the wedding. You're welcomed to have family and friends accompany you on your Hawaii trip but we ask that only those named on the invitations attend the wedding. We appreciate your understanding.
Yes, self-parking will be available at the Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute via the venue's parking lot. As more than one event may be taking place on our wedding day, we recommend arriving early (at 4:00 p.m.) to ensure you find parking. Both the ceremony and reception are at the same venue and there will be no need to relocate your car since the reception is a short walk from the ceremony site.
