Things To Do

Kamehame Ridge

Honolulu, HI 96825

This is where Brant proposed at sunrise. It's a gorgeous view, and an easy hike!

Iolani Palace

364 South King Street, Honolulu, HI 96813
, (808) 522-0822

For you history lovers, this is a great place to learn more about the Hawaiian history and the overthrow of the Hawaiian Monarchy. This palace is also the only palace in the entire USA.

Polynesian Cultural Center

55-370 Kamehameha Highway, Laie, HI 96762

If you have a free day, we definitely recommend checking out the Polynesian Cultural Center on the North Shore! It’s such a fun way to experience the islands—there are beautiful village exhibits, hands-on activities, and live performances from different Polynesian cultures. The evening show, HĀ: Breath of Life, is incredible (fire dancing, music, the whole thing). It’s one of those “only in Hawaii” experiences that’s totally worth the trip.

Diamond Head Crater Trailhead

Kapahulu, Honolulu, HI 96815

Diamond Head is a short but rewarding hike and is a very popular tourist attraction. The trail takes you up an old volcanic crater, and at the top, you’ll get a panoramic view of Waikiki and the ocean. It’s best to go early in the morning before it gets too hot (and crowded). Don’t forget water, sunscreen, and your camera!

Pearl Harbor National Memorial

1 Arizona Memorial Place, Honolulu, HI 96818

If you’re a history buff (or just love learning cool real-life stories), Pearl Harbor is definitely worth a visit. You can see the USS Arizona Memorial, the Battleship Missouri, and a bunch of exhibits that really bring the history to life. It’s a powerful place and such a big part of Hawaii’s story. Just make sure to grab tickets ahead of time and go early before it gets hot!
