While we went to Roanoke College together and had many mutual friends, our paths didn't really cross until senior year. Our first memory together was a Pike cocktail spring of senior year, but we went just as friends. Months after graduation we reconnected with mutual friends over beers in Salem. Shortly after that, we began spending weekend getaways at the river—kayaking, listening to music, and the occasional day trip to the Homestead Resort. Just a few months into our relationship, Clark moved to Florida for work. If Clark wasn't flying to visit Alexandra in Roanoke, Alexandra was flying to visit Clark in DeLand. Free weekends were almost always spent together. About a year later, Clark moved back to Roanoke & we adopted our sweet hound dog, Maple. We got engaged at the Homestead Resort, a special place in our hearts, on June 20, 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Little did Clark know, the Resort was closed so we had the entire grounds to ourselves. When we were leaving the parking lot, the Bath County police were pulling in! We can't wait to celebrate our special day with our families & special friends. As of today, we are planning a normal wedding. As we get closer to the event date, we will keep our guests updated on any COVID-19 related precautions or adjustments.  With Love & Excitement,  Alexandra & Clark Updated January 9, 2021: We have reluctantly decided to postpone our wedding scheduled for May 22, 2021. Updated Save the Date cards will be mailed to guests when we are finished making adjustments. We hope that 2022 will be a great year full of COVID-free celebrations! Updated May 22, 2021: We have made some changes to our venues forcing us to reduce the guest list, but we have selected a new date!
