Davis Arboretum
The Arboretum runs many miles long following Putah Creek, starting in downtown Davis and running through the edge of UCDavis' campus. You can enter and exit many places. It's a great (FREE!) place to connect with nature with it's lush landscape/trees and wildlife, take a short stroll or make it a longer walk! The end of the arboretum closest to downtown has a portion called "Arboretum GATEway Garden" and the entrance is actually on D street, just a minutes walk straight down the street from the Best Western Palm Court.
Davis Farmers Market
Hit the super popular long standing Davis Farmer's Market open year-round every Saturday from 8am-1pm! It's right in downtown a short minutes walk from the hotel. Find a wide range of fruits and vegetables, including certified organic produce, as well as fresh meat, fish, cheese, wine, dried fruit and nuts, jams, baked goods, flowers, plants and specialty gifts. **Everything sold in the market is either grown by or made by the seller ~ quintessential Davis vibes
U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame
Open Saturday 10am-2pm, located right next to the Farmer's Market and just up the street from the hotel.
California Raptor Center
A large bird sanctuary where you can visit, read placards, and be in awe of gorgeous and impressive raptors, hawks, owls, and more. Free to self guided tours. Very cool!
