Question

Will I need to show vaccination status and/or masks at the wedding?

Answer

Per Washington D.C. Health guidelines, our venue will no longer be required to verify that patrons are vaccinated nor are masks required within the facilities. We will be monitoring the vaccination requirements and communicate any changes as the situation evolves. Will I need to bring/wear a mask in D.C?

Answer

Short answer - yes, plan to bring one just in case. Because the district is not a state, mask rules have been varying for transportation and hotel policies. Based on our experience the last month, the rules have been relaxed and most places are only requiring staff to continue wearing masks. To be safe, we recommend bringing one but, if you forget we will have some backups available.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Currently the weather for the week/weekend in DC is going to be highs in the 80s and lows in the high 60s. The humidity should be mild to moderate as we are entering into the start of summer. This time of month there is always a chance for showers, mostly isolated. All venues have an indoor back-up space in the event we need to move inside.

Thursday, 5/19 - Pizza Party VERY casual - come as you are in whatever is comfy! Friday, 5/20 - Welcome Party The event is happening on a rooftop garden, so why not a dressy casual garden party chic outfit? Florals are welcome for ladies & gentleman. Ladies - Spring/floral dresses, jumpsuits, slacks. Men – Khakis, slacks, dark jeans, collared shirts, sport coat optional Saturday, 5/21 - Wedding Ceremony/Reception Black Tie Optional - please join us in dressing up to celebrate this special day! Ladies - long/mid-length dresses, formal jumpsuits. Men - Tuxedos or dark suits *Note: events will take place mostly outdoors (weather dependent) with some indoor space also. The temperatures projected are highs in 80s, lows in high 60s, with some humidity.

Thursday, 5/19 - Pizza Party ....you guessed it, PIZZA! We are keeping it simple/casual and ordering some pizzas from our favorite spot, All Purpose Pizza. We will also have some light snacks, salad, and sweets. ------------------------------------------------ Friday, 5/20 - Welcome Party Eat before you come, we will have some snacks (mini hot dogs & pretzel bar). ------------------------------------------------ Saturday, 5/21 - Wedding Ceremony & Reception You already pre-selected your options in your response cards but, detailed menu below. Are there shuttles provided?

Yes, except to Thursday's Pizza Party. ------------------------------------------------ Friday, 5/20 - Welcome Party Conrad to Fathom Gallery - Shuttle pick-up at 8:00 PM from ground level Fathom Gallery to Conrad - Shuttle pick-up at 11:00 PM on street in front of venue ------------------------------------------------ Saturday, 5/21 _ Wedding Ceremony & Reception Conrad to DAR - Shuttle pick-up at 4:15 PM and 4:45 PM from ground level DAR to Conrad - Shuttle will depart at 10:45 PM from C Street DAR to After Party Venue to Conrad - Shuttle will depart a little after 11:00 PM, drop-off at the after party venue and continue on to Conrad for final drop-off

Where can I park if I plan on driving?

We highly recommend using ride-share or shuttle, as parking is always changing & is limited in the city. What is the hospitality suite?

Answer

All wedding guests are invited to use the Avenue suite on the 3rd floor in the Conrad. The room will be open Friday after 1 pm through Saturday evening to meet-up, talk and hang out. All snacks and beverages in the room are available to all. If staying at the Conrad, your room key-card will work to access suite. If staying elsewhere, visit the front desk and give them your name, they will escort you to the suite.
