These naturally warm, mineral-rich springs have been used for over 9,000 years, first by Native Americans and later by early settlers including Thomas Jefferson. The Gentlemen’s and Ladies’ Bathhouses, built in the 1820s and 1870s, have been beautifully restored to preserve their original character.
