WHERE IS THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION?

Both the ceremony and reception are being held at Lowndes Grove. The address is 266 St Margaret St, Charleston, SC 29403.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will take place outdoors, but our reception will take place inside a covered tent overlooking the water. Charleston weather in February usually ranges from 40-70 degrees. Ladies bring your cute shawls and guys…let the ladies wear your tux jackets! ;)

WHAT IS THE ATTIRE?

Answer

Black Tie: Black Tie usually indicates an evening wedding where men wear tuxedos with black bow tie and women wear formal floor-length gowns. Black tie does not mean you must wear black. However, traditionally men would wear a bow tie and black tuxedo.

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Charleston International Airport (CHS) is the closest airport. It is a 10-15 minute drive to Downtown Charleston from CHS. The next closest airport is Savannah International Airport, which is about a 2 hour drive to Downtown Charleston.

SHOULD I RENT A CAR?

Answer

Downtown Charleston is extremely walkable and Ubers are very affordable compared to other cities. If you are staying Downtown and are comfortable walking and using Uber or Lyft, you probably do not need to rent a car. If you are wishing to explore areas outside of downtown, we would recommend renting a car.

How should we get to the venue?

Answer

If you choose to drive there yourself, there is plenty of free parking within the estate of Lowndes Grove. We recommend using Uber or another rideshare service to travel to and from the wedding.

ARE CHILDREN INVITED TO THE WEDDING?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening.
