Old Town
We had our first date and many other fun nights in Old Town! Plenty of shopping, dining, and exploring in a charming little down town area
Horsetooth Reservoir
There's hiking around the area, picnic areas, "beaches" for access to the water, and rentals for water sports such as paddle boarding, kayaking, etc. Perfect for the holiday weekend or even just a scenic sunset drive!
Breweries
Fort Collins is known for it's local breweries. You can try so many unique beers and even take a tour. There are plenty to choose from including New Belgium, Odell, Zwei, Maxline, Stodgy, and Prost. Some good ones in Windsor are Peculier and High Hops. There are so many options, so try out a few!
The Oval at CSU
The oval is the heart of CSU which is where Allyson and Jayce met and he stole her heart. It was designed in 1909 as a way to connect the main campus historic buildings. Most importantly, it is where Jayce proposed!
Rocky Mountain National Park
Beautiful mountain scenery and wildlife, hiking, exploring; only about an hour from the Fort Collins area! Be sure to check if you need to reserve a timed entry pass for the day/time you would like to go. Trail Ridge Road is the highest continuous paved road in the US at over 12,000 feet. Stop by Estes Park too for some classic mountain town favorites or even a mountain roller coaster!
Poudre Canyon
Offers a range of options such as a beautiful mountain drive, dipping your feet in, picnics, fishing or if you are feeling more adventurous, try rafting or tubing down the river! Some of our favorite summer activities!
City Park
Lots of fun activities for 4th of July weekend! Firecracker 5K, Independence Day Parade, City Park Celebration with food trucks, vendors, and live music, and a Fireworks Show (9:35 p.m. at Sheldon Lake in City Park)
