Ally and Jarrett met the millennial way... JSwipe. #MazelTov It's a match! Ally and Jarrett started talking and hit it off right away. Ally realized that her sister, Samantha, was actually a mutual friend of Jarrett's. She texted her sister and asked who is this Jarrett Weisberg guy?! Samantha said she went to law school with Jarrett and that he was really nice and that Ally should go on a date with him! Well, by the end of Ally and Jarrett's JSwipe conversation, they decided to go on their first date at the Mt. Washington Tavern. They met and the rest is history!
Jarrett signed up for the Patapsco 50k (roughly 31 miles). He ran with his best man, Eric Schulman, who helped keep him sane for all those rainy miles. Ally picked up Jen Schulman (Eric's wife) and went to the Lindale Middle School parking lot to cheer them on. Well, they actually sat in the car for hours since it was raining and they only actually saw Eric and Jarrett twice (how exciting...). Little did Ally know, Jen was receiving text updates from Eric to say when they would be at the finish line. They got out of the car and waited at the finish line, which felt like forever for Ally. Ally was starting to feel anxious and felt like Jarrett was up to something! She called her sister, Samantha, freaking out! She said that Jarrett was proposing to her and that he had an awful mustache and her family wasn't there to celebrate. Samantha told Ally that she was in New York changing her son's diaper (which was a lie and she was waiting in a car with her parents) and that Ally was crazy and Jarrett was not proposing (he was). A couple minutes later, Jarrett came around the corner with no mustache (he shaved it off a mile from the finish), a tuxedo t-shirt, and a ring box in his hand. He got down on one knee (struggling as anyone who just ran 31 miles would) and proposed to Ally. The moment was so special and all of their friends and family were around to celebrate with them! Now that deserves a medal and an engagement ring!
