We first met at the start of freshman year during a La Salle break, when only about ten students remained on campus. Jack’s dorm decided to host a small get-together and invited Ally and her friends to join. That night was fun, but after it ended, we didn’t reconnect again until the beginning of sophomore year. By then, we had started spending time with the same friend group, and our Greek organizations often held events together. Over the next eight months, we found ourselves hanging out more—usually in groups—and slowly built a real friendship. What Jack didn’t know was that Ally had a huge crush on him the entire time. Eventually, we ended up in the same business course, which gave us more chances to spend time one-on-one. Study sessions often entailed Jack doing most of the work while Ally was secretly texting her friends, asking, "Do you think he’s in love with me yet?" Things finally shifted after we went to Jack’s SigEp formal together in May. That night, we stayed up talking throughout the night and from that moment on, we’ve been inseparable. Since then, we’ve navigated pandemic-era college life, lived through short, medium, AND long-distance, visited numerous states, moved in together, and finally got engaged. Through it all, we have never stopped laughing, learning new things about each other, and making memories. We appreciate all of the love and support from everyone since the start of our relationship.
