We met February 2020, at our friend Kailey's birthday party. Our friend Ashley introduced us and told me his name which I of course immediately started going on and on about "The Cake Boss" and how Carlo and him shared a name. Months later I realized that The Cake Boss' name is in fact, Buddy and the name of his bakery is Carlo's bakery. Carlo followed MY bakeries Instagram page, Popsweets and a few months later we started talking! Here we are now, all because of Ashley, Kailey's birthday and Buddy Valastro.

At said birthday party for Kailey; a small, cute, slightly (maybe more) intoxicated Allyson wearing a giant, pink fur coat, came in hot needing to tell me that I share a name with a famous baker. Not being in the baking industry myself, I was stoked to be relatable with my extremely Italian name. Later come to find out, she was WRONG and his name is indeed, Buddy. But it did spark the conversation of her own business which gave me the perfect reason to follow her Instagram (business and then personal, later. Gotta be smooth). All this time later, I'm so grateful to have been at that party to make that connection, creating the spark that eventually lead to us falling for each other months later.
