Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Allyson Kolder and Christian Wirawan
We’ve spent so many trips making memories in Disney and the Orlando area, and these are some of our favorite things to do when we’re here. Whether you’re looking for classic Disney magic or want to explore beyond the parks, we hope this list helps you make the most of your trip!

Walt Disney World® Resort

FL

Disney World holds a very special place in our hearts and has been a huge part of so many of our favorite memories together. Our top two favorite parks are Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, but we truly love them all—Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom included. You really can’t go wrong! During the time of our wedding, EPCOT will be hosting the Food & Wine Festival, a seasonal event featuring food booths from around the world, specialty drinks, and live entertainment throughout the park. Magic Kingdom will also be celebrating Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, a festive, family-friendly event with exclusive entertainment, costumes, and Halloween-themed treats. Even if you’re not a big Disney person, we promise there’s something for everyone—and we’re confident you’ll have an amazing time while you’re here!

Universal Studios Florida

6000 Universal Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32819

While Christian and I aren’t quite as well-versed in Universal Studios as we are in Disney, it’s known for offering a bit more thrill and excitement. From high-energy rides to immersive attractions, it’s a great option if you’re looking for something adventurous. Universal has also just opened its newest park, Epic Universe, bringing even more rides, lands, and experiences to explore. During the time of our wedding, Universal Studios will be hosting Halloween Horror Nights, a popular seasonal event featuring haunted houses, scare zones, and themed entertainment—perfect if you’re in the mood for something spooky and high-energy.

Disney Springs

1486 Buena Vista Drive, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

If you’re not looking to spend time at a park, Disney Springs is the perfect spot to soak up some Disney magic without a park ticket. With plenty of shops, entertainment, and great places to grab a bite, it’s a fun and relaxing way to spend some time while still feeling the magic of Disney.

Walt Disney World Monorail Transportation

Orlando, FL 32836

One of our favorite non‑park adventures at Walt Disney World is the Monorail Bar Crawl—a fun way to explore some of Disney’s most beautiful and luxurious resorts while riding the Monorail (which is a blast on its own!). This adult‑friendly activity takes you to lounges and bars at three iconic resorts: Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Each stop has its own vibe and unique drinks, making it feel like a progressive cocktail party with a Disney twist. Whether you’re sipping tropical tiki drinks, elegant martinis under a chandelier, or specialty cocktails with a view, it’s a great time to do with friends and family—even if you’re not typically a “bar‑crawl person”! If you’re looking for a chill, scenic, and delicious way to spend part of your trip outside the parks, this is a must‑try

Gideon's Bakehouse

1600 Buena Vista Drive, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

One of Christian’s all-time favorite spots at Disney Springs is Gideon’s Bakehouse—a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth! Known for their massive, decadent cookies (and a secretive “dark side” collection for the adventurous), Gideon’s is the perfect stop for a treat while exploring Disney Springs. It’s high on Christian’s list, and we promise it’s worth the hype!

The Cake Bake Shop® by Gwendolyn Rogers

2101 Epcot Resorts Boulevard, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

One of Ally’s absolute favorite stops is The Cake Bake Shop at the BoardWalk Hotel. This adorable bakery is full of beautifully crafted cakes and sweet treats that are almost too pretty to eat…almost! Plus, their espresso martinis are one of the best around—definitely a must-try while exploring the BoardWalk.

The Boathouse

1620 East Buena Vista Drive, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

Located at Disney Springs, The Boathouse has always been a must-do for us whenever we visit Orlando. This waterfront restaurant is known for its fresh seafood, vibrant atmosphere, and classic Americana fare. Some of our top food picks include the Oysters, Firecracker Shrimp, Shrimp & Andouille Mac ’n’ Cheese, and the Maine-Style Lobster Roll—trust us, you won’t want to skip any of these!

Splitsville Luxury Lanes

1494 East Buena Vista Drive, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

You might be thinking, “A bowling alley on the list?”—but trust us, it’s a must! One of Ally’s all-time favorites is their Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. Both Ally and Christian consider themselves serious foodies, and when Ally tried this sandwich for the first time back in 2019, it instantly became her number one. Beyond the food, Splitsville is a fun spot to relax, enjoy a round of bowling, and hang out with friends and family. It’s the perfect mix of good eats and good vibes!
