Things To Do in Wilmington

We are so excited to share a few of our favorite things to do in Wilmington with you!

Wilmington Riverwalk

Wilmington Downtown Riverwalk, Wilmington, NC 28401

This is Allyson's favorite place in Wilmington. She and Brian have taken may strolls on this walkway after lunch or dinner by the water. This is also the place of Brian's surprise proposal to Allyson. He knows it holds a special place in her heart.

Anne Bonny's Bar and Grill

106 South Water Street, Wilmington, NC 28401
, (910) 399-7212

After Brian proposed to Allyson they celebrated their engagement at Anne Bonny's with a few drinks, laughter and a whole lot of love.

The Blind Elephant

21 North Front Street, Wilmington, NC 28401

With a romantic speakeasy atmosphere and creative fresh cocktails, The Blind Elephant is one of Allyson and Brian's favorite hidden Bars in downtown. The ginger beer is fantastic and made in house!

Slainte Irish Pub

7 North Front Street, Wilmington, NC 28401
, (910) 254-4774

Slainte is a great little pub to grab a drink and watch a game. The site of Allyson and Brian's first kiss.

Pilot House Restaurant

2 Ann Street, Wilmington, NC 28401
, (910) 343-0200

Brian took Allyson to the Pilot House on an early date. They have a spectacular view of the river from their outside seating. If you don't know already, Allyson isn't a big fan of seafood but Brian loves it! Pilot House is a great place to go for a mixture of both land and seafood.

Slice of Life Pizzeria & Pub Downtown

125 Market Street, Wilmington, NC 28401
, (910) 251-9444

If you're looking for a late night bite to eat, Slice stays open until 3am!

Masonboro Island

NC

Masonboro Island is a beloved barrier island off the cost of Wilmington NC. This beautiful island is the reason that Allyson and Brian met. They met at the masonboro.org benefit party on June 1, 2017. Allyson sits on the board of masonboro.org, a nonprofit organization that works hard to preserve the island and educate the public about this beautiful natural reserve. Brian has spent a few years with Allyson on July 4th picking up trash during and after the biggest party of the year. He has been a huge supporter of her passion for this organization.

Battleship North Carolina

1 Battleship Road Northeast, Wilmington, NC 28401
, (910) 399-9100

If you're looking for something historical to do, head on over to the Battle Ship North Carolina. Even if you don't tour the ship, there is a park where you can take in all the beauty of downtown Wilmington. If any of you are One Tree Hill fans, this is the site of the river court in the hit TV series.

Wrightsville Beach

Wrightsville Beach, NC

Head down Causeway Dr to Lumina Avenue. Hang a left or a right; you can't go wrong either way! To the left you will find a few favorite old beach bars and to the right is Wings beachwear, Trolly Stop, Kohl's Frozen Custard, South Beach Grill and the Oceanic restaurant is just a bit farther down the island on the ocean side. The first Saturday after Allyson and Brian met, Brian missed the Champions League final (Juventus v Real) just to spend time boating and swimming in the Intracoastal Waterway with Allyson. She had NO idea what a HUGE deal that was. His friends were shocked! He hates the ocean (sharks) and loved sports more than anything.

For all the days along the way
