In the fall of 2015, during their first semester at UConn, Allysa and Dan found themselves in the same philosophy class. While Dan breezed through with a perfect score, Allysa struggled to stay conscious, occasionally waking up mid-lecture to jot down a note she wouldn’t remember later. Their friendship formed in Ben Nelson’s Perogies, a study group that quickly became more about laughter than logic. Between study sessions and endless inside jokes, their bond deepened. Before long, it wasn’t just friendship—it was something more. And while Allysa may have forgotten most of that class, she and Dan will never forget the love they found along the way.
