The story starts on January 12, 2019. Phil reached out to Ally online and instantly turned on his charm. He invited her to have a drink at a local brewery where they hit it off immediately. The following day, Ally received a text asking her to go on a cute ice skating date. She was BEYOND thrilled and went. They continued to see each other every weekend and two weeks later, Phil asked Ally to be his girlfriend. Smitten, they continued to see each other everyday. Phil would make the oh so treacherous trek from Tijeras to Bernalillo every evening just to see Ally. Talk about love. Six months later, Phil decided that he couldn't live another day without Ally.

On the night of July 18, 2019, at Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine, Phil decided that he would pop the big question. Ally got up, ready to do another day of sightseeing. Due to the terrible humidity, she threw her hair up in a ponytail and out the door she went. That afternoon, Phil and her brother mentioned that Ally should go back to the room and "freshen up"... She knew something was up... She put on a dress, combed her hair, and shortly thereafter, they were at a beautiful lighthouse. Ally's lifelong dream was to go see the lighthouses in Maine. Little did she know, the man of her dreams would soon propose to her. In true Phil fashion, he pulled Ally down to the most romantic spot, smack dab in front of the lighthouse. Pretending to be taking a picture, he knelt down in front of Ally. Most gals cry when they are getting proposed to, but if anyone knows Phil, he is the biggest goofball on the planet. So...Ally burst out laughing and replied to the "Will you marry me?" question, with a big smile and a head nod. Some say, only fools rush in... but they couldn't help falling deeply, madly in love with one another.
