Michael and I first met in our 9th grade gym class, but we rarely talked to each other. After graduating high school, we attended Georgia State University together and ended up living in the same college dormitory building. Our friend groups in college began to hang out, which brought us back into each other's lives. From attending multiple concerts and city events together, our friendship continued to blossom. We also had a few classes together and helped one another study. The countless library study dates soon turned into real dates which led to an unforgettable bond.
After 5 years of love in California, Michael decided it was time to pop the question. He asked me to take Valentine's day off to spend the day in San Francisco. After a long hike up Mt. Tamalpais, Michael insisted we have lunch at the Golden Gate bridge vista point. The scene was set and he began to talk about the 8 long wonderful years we have spent together. Before I could even realize what was going on, he dropped down on one knee and asked me to marry him. We both cried happy tears, and basked in the beautiful view of the city and our new future together.
