They say love comes when you least expect it, and boy are they right! Our stars aligned one summer night and we both ended up being at the same place in Birmingham, Alabama. A simple gesture by Christopher turned into a love at first sight romance. We met on July 1, 2016 and have not gone a single day without each other. Our relationship has stood the test of long distance between Alabama and South Carolina and busy schedules.
Our relationship consists of adventuring and traveling together. So on a weekend that I was traveling to see Christopher, and that he had a weekend full of adventures planned, I was not suspicious of anything. On Saturday afternoon, Christopher suggested we get ready for a nice dinner since we didn't get to celebrate Valentine's Day together. We both got ready and headed to dinner. On the way to dinner Christoper suggested that we stop by Ceasar's Head state park. Ceasar's Head is where he asked me to be he girlfriend nearly two and a half years earlier. When he asked me to be his girlfriend, he had a Kendra Scott necklace and said " I have something for you, but you have to say yes... will you be my girlfriend?" When we got to Ceasar's Head on Saturday I was a little confused because we were in nice clothes on a mountain with hiking trails, but I didn't think much of anything, We soaked in the beauty and enjoyed being there with each other. Before we left, Christopher pulled me to the side and said "Well I have something for you, but you have to say yes.." He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! After the proposal some of our closest friends and my family were waiting at the restaurant for us! It was a huge surprise!
