If you were to ask Drew and Ally separately about the first time they met, they would give you very different answers. Ally would say they met one Saturday night freshman year when Drew and his friend stumbled into Ally's dorm room, and he (drunkenly) introduced himself as "Gru". Drew, however, would correct Ally and explain how they met the night before, when Ally hosted a pregame. Drew tried to strike up conversation with Ally, and she completely ignored him (*face smack*). Luckily for Ally, she didn't ignore "Gru" the second night, where she quickly fell in love with his blue eyes and quirky personality. And the rest is history, folks!

When Allyn and Drew first met, Allyn expressed her feelings for Drew the way any mature, reasonable young woman would... by brutally bullying him (love is strange). But rather than run away and ghost Allyn's texts, Drew continued to develop feelings for Allyn, which was quite surprising! As their fondness grew, Allyn and Drew often created little drawings for each other and left them as little folded surprises in each other's dorm room. For Valentine's Day, Allyn drew a scene for Drew from the Pixar short, "For the Birds", which is a tale of how a flock of little birds try to bully a big goofy bird, which ultimately fails. On the back, Allyn explains how Drew is the big goofy bird, who not matter how much Allyn teased him, just wanted to be close to her (the little grumpy bird). Years later, Drew got the drawing framed for Allyn's birthday, and the phrase "For the Birds" remains dear to the couple. You'll see this phrase throughout the wedding weekend in September!

One thing that immediately attracted and bonded Allyn and Drew was there love for music. Both of them were avid music explorers, eager to uncover the newest artists and hits to share with one another. When Allyn and Drew were early in their "courting", they co-created a playlist titled the "Boston" playlist. They would listen to this playlist when they were together, and when they were apart.
