Our story goes back over a decade ago to 2008, attending Flagstaff Middle School together. Though we did not date until the end of senior year of high school, we shared many memories together throughout those years; having the same group of friends, similar class schedules, and attending a school dance together. Like many young love stories, we went our separate ways once college started and lost contact for over 8 years. A simple Facebook message congratulating Tyler on passing Ranger School brought us back together in October of 2021. Little did we know that would be the start to a lasting life together. It only took one visit to Washington to know that we were meant to come back together.

What was thought to be a simple day celebrating the 4th of July early turned into a surprise proposal. We were out on a boat at Lake Tapps Washington surrounded by close friends and beautiful views of Mt Rainier. Tyler got down on one knee with tears in his eyes and asked that one question. I was bailing my eyes out by this point and said "yes" and would a million times over again. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in San Diego!
