FAQs

Question

Why is the wedding in Colorado?

Answer

Because we love Colorado! It’s our home away from home that we intend to move to by the year 2020. The mountains are the bride’s favorite view. We have chosen a venu that made it extremely easy for us to set up and plan everything. We do understand that it’s not exactly practical and that it can be a barrier for some guests. While we would love to have everyone who is invited attend, we definitely understand there may be challenges.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 1st. Our venue charges per guests. After April, we will have to finalize our number of guests.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! We have a registry here on Zola as well as one in Bed Bath & Beyond.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes there is parking. There is a hotel nearby also that offers a shuttle service for a certain number of guests. Contact us if interested!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony starts at 6:30 pm! You’re welcome to arrive a little early to choose a seat.

Question

Will it be a religious ceremony?

Answer

The short answer is no. The bride wrote the ceremony to be secular but there are some unique parts of the ceremony which hold special significance to the bride and groom. If you are easily offended however this may be a wild ride for you. Not just the ceremony but knowing the couple in general.

Question

Can I bring a date? Are kids welcome?

Answer

If you have a plus one. If you have children, they’re welcome and those planning have factored them in!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

There should be plenty of options for your allergy to be avoided. However please make food decisions accordingly.

Question

What is a hand fasting? What unique things are included in this ceremony?

Answer

During a hand fasting ceremony, the couple places there hands together and a ribbon or ceremonial cloth is used to join their hands. Often during this time, vows are said to one another. In addition, when you arrive at the venue there will be a table of ribbons. You are welcomed & encouraged to pick up one as you enter. During the ceremony, there will be an invitation to any guest wishing to share a special moment or a blessing with the couple to bring their ribbon forward & add it to the tied hands of the couple. It is to remind the couple as well of the love and support of those around them each time they view the ribbons in their home together as life returns to normal after the honeymoon ends.
