Downtown Excelsior
A must visit if you have a little extra time. This charming lakeside downtown is perfect for strolling- think cute local shops, great ice cream spots (Licks unlimited and Adeles Custard), Breweries (Excelsior Brewing Company) and lakeside restaurants with beautiful views of Lake Minnetonka (Maynards Restaurant). It’s an easy, relaxed way to soak up classic Minnesota summer vibes.
Galleria Mall
This Mall is connected to the Westin hotel vis a tunnel and a great spot to check out for food or a coffee!
Southdale Mall
Located just across the street from the Westin hotel. Historic indoor mall (first in the U.S.!) A great spot to see a movie, plat some mini golf or get some food!
Centennial Lakes Park
Centennial Lakes Park is a 24-acre "urban oasis" located just a short walk south of the hotel. It is a fantastic spot for guests of all ages to enjoy the outdoors without needing to travel far. Paddleboarding & Fishing: Guests can rent paddleboats to navigate the interconnected ponds or try their hand at catch-and-release fishing. Lawn Games: The park features high-quality bent-grass lawns for lawn bowling and a unique 18-hole putting course that is more like "golf in miniature" than traditional mini-golf. Walking Paths: Paved trails and promenades circle the lake, crossing over picturesque pedestrian bridges and past various public art sculptures.
