Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! We are asking our guests to dress up with us! For the Welcome Party, the dress code is festive cocktail. For inspiration, check out this website https://www.brides.com/festive-wedding-guest-attire-6361569. For the Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception, the dress code is Black-Tie Optional. "Black-Tie Optional" means that guests have the option of wearing their most formal attire (an evening gown or tuxedo), but may also choose to wear a formal suit, cocktail, or midi dress instead.

Do I have to stay at the Homestead?

Answer

No! We absolutely love the Homestead and encourage you to take full advantage of what the resort has to offer during our wedding weekend. That being said, we realize that some guests may choose to stay elsewhere. For other accommodations, there are bed and breakfasts nearby in Hot Springs, VA and Warm Springs, VA. There are also larger AirBnB's in the area. If you don't mind driving a bit, there are also hotels in Lexington, VA (~1 hour drive) and Clifton Forge, VA (~45 minute drive). If cost is your main factor in not attending, please reach out to us!

Is there parking?

Parking is available via valet at the hotel and costs $35 per night.

What kind of activities can I do at the Homestead?

Answer

Is there a room block?

Answer

Yes! The room block rate is available for 2 nights before and 2 nights after our ceremony (6/5/24 - 6/9/ 24). To ensure that you get a room in the block, we recommend booking as soon as it's convenient for you. For more information, visit the 'Travel' tab.
