Things To Do

If you're looking to make a full weekend trip, we recommend taking the Metra into Chicago to explore all that our amazing city has to offer! You can hop on the train in Geneva and it will take you straight into the city (without all of the traffic). Some places to check out are below!

Lincoln Park Zoo

Chicago, IL 60614

The zoo is free! We spend a lot of weekends hanging out in the park surrounding the zoo

Chicago Architecture Boat Tour

111 East Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL 60601

This is one of the best Chicago tourist experiences and is such a great way to see the city - we love going on these!

Myopic Books

1564 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL 60622

Myopic is just up the street from our apartment and, in our opinion, the best used bookstore in Chicago! If you check it out, make sure to walk up Milwaukee and check out all of the other stores our little neighborhood has to offer

Chicago Fire Game

1410 Special Olympics Drive, Chicago, IL 60605

Our men's soccer team, the Chicago Fire, is playing at Soldier Field! Seeing them play is a fun way to experience Chicago culture and excitement

Museum of Science and Industry

5700 South DuSable Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60637

There's a James Bond exhibit right now that's supposed to be pretty cool!

The Art Institute of Chicago

111 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60603

Fun fact: One of our bridesmaids, Rachel Hyland, works for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago!

Shedd Aquarium

1200 South DuSable Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60605

We went here to celebrate Ally's birthday during our first year of dating!
