How we met!

Plenty of Fish

One day, 20 year old Ally was hanging out with her best friend at the time, watching the Niner game checking out the new hot quarterback, Kaepernick, when her BFF Jazmin said, "Girl, we need to find you a man! Give me your phone and i'm going to set you up on the POF app. I got chu gurl!" Nervously I said, "NO, i'm good!" But knowing her crazy, fun and energetic self, she didn't care and she went ahead and did it for me anyway. A few weeks went by and then I received a message from someone named Kevin. He was so persistent in meeting up with me but knowing me and how cautious I am, I said NO! Lol. I watch too many crime documentaries to meet up with strangers from the internet. We started talking more but honestly I had NO interest in him until he mentioned he was in the police academy, training to become a Police Officer. I said, "Oh my God.. Hey, boo! How you doing!" (in a Wendy Williams voice). We exchanged numbers and talked for a couple of months until he completely GHOSTED ME for 2 months. We never met up so I just thought it was over and moved on with my life. Two months later, I received a text message from him begging me to forgive him and give him another chance. I didn't want to but my friend was like, "Just go! Think of it as a free dinner! It won't hurt." So there I go. We met up on February 25, 2013 at 7:30pm at my house. It was the most uncomfortable/awkward date of our lives! He came dressed all in black with a beanie on and I seriously thought he was going to murder me. We went to the drive ins and it was the longest, most awkward two hours of our lives. A week later I agreed to go out with him again for the last and final time and this time he came DRESSED TO THE NINE smelling absolutely AMAZING! I was definitely interested and changed my mind about him so quick! My mom had joked prior to me leaving, saying how she wanted to meet him. When I told him, he immediately got out of the car and took it so serious and respectfully came in to my house and introduced himself to my family. You can say that things moved quickly in our relationship because he met my family on our second time of meeting each other! My parents, my sister Janet, brother in-law Michael, my Tia Nena and Tio Everardo were all there anxiously waiting to meet him and let me tell you that they were all impressed! He shook everyone's hand, introduced himself and I was in love from there! Two months later I moved to Sausalito and he came to visit me there. We were talking next to the water and I hugged him and asked, "So when are you going to ask me to be your girlfriend?" and he responded, "I thought you already were." That night, I left with him and never turned back. It was the best decision of my life. In August 2013, I got really sick. I thought I was dying and didn't know what was wrong with me. I finally couldn't take it so he took me to the doctor to get checked. When I came out, I looked at him in the eyes and said, "I'm Pregnant." His face turned pale. I thought to myself, "What have I done?" This guy is for sure going to leave me to fend for my own." Little did I know. We got in his car, he grabbed my hand and said, "We're in this together." Now we have to go tell my dad and he's going to kill me." When we told his parents, they were stoked as they were finally going to become grandparents! So he lived. And that's how we became a family. We became the Loera's. Now 10 years later, we will be saying I DO, as a family of four.
