Ally had just moved to Washington D.C. from Massachusetts. A coworker of hers convinced Ally to join her kickball team, which was made up of her college friends, including Justin. Ally showed up to the National Mall, right next to the Washington Monument, which is where the games were held. Justin and Ally hit it off right away, bonding over their love of football and disdain for New York sports teams. Following that game of kickball, and a few rounds of flip cup at a nearby bar, Justin worked up the courage to ask for Ally's number.
