I met everyone in Hunter's family before I actually met Hunter! Hunter's sister, McKenzie, was one of my closest friends in Physical Therapy school. I had met her parents a few times and I was always McKenzie's friend. McKenzie started to mention her brother, Hunter, and how she was thinking of setting us up to meet each other. It all came together when I was invited to McKenzie and Frank's engagement party in Franklin, TN. When I was at the party I heard Hunter's dad tell someone there was someone he worked with that he may set Hunter up with! I thought "Wait! That's supposed to be me!" So I knew I had to act fast. Shortly after, Hunter challenged me to a game of corn hole and the loser had to shotgun a beer. Not surprisingly, I lost! Hunter made me shotgun a lime white claw and the rest is history! This was June 20, 2020. We kept talking after the engagement party and eventually I had to re-meet Hunter's parents as his girlfriend and not just McKenzie's friend. We continued to date long distance (Me in Johnson City, TN and him in Nashville, TN) until I finished PT school in December 2021. In February 2022, we finally got to be in the same city and moved to Chattanooga, TN together. Once in Chattanooga, Hunter bought a house and became the best cat dad, I started my first job, and so many fun and wonderful memories and adventures have been made! Hunter sealed the deal on 12/8/23 when he asked me to marry him and I said YES! :)
