If you know either of us, you know we are not made to be the center of attention. We both had the same dream of an intimate wedding in the mountains with breathtaking views, and that’s why we have chosen to elope in Glacier National Park!
August 2024. Just two kids who swiped right. Who would’ve thought a silly (very silly and ick 🤣) conversation on Hinge would lead us to being married. I remember seeing Collins and being like no way this hottie from high school would like me. To my surprise, we spent little time chitchatting before he had the guts to take me on a brunch date which turned into pool afternoon date which then became a Gringo’s tacos dinner date. Yes our first date lasted ALL day, and if that wasn’t a sign I don’t know what it. Poor Collins though wanted to kiss me goodbye soooo bad but his first love June (Carter Cat) was not about it and she made sure her scratching post was perfectly placed between us just so awkwardly enough so Collins wouldn’t even try. It was clear from that day on who his number one woman was. To poor Junebugs dismay, I moved myself on in, surely winning Collins heart week two by watching ALL SIX STAR WARS MOVIES (and actually liking them)! We soon came to learn our shared love for tattoos and food. Some of my fondest memories will always be in Collins’ literal bachelor apartment (or what we like to call “June’s house”) with just a Colorado flag and a Steamboat canvas mural on the walls 🫣. Being in two different apartments, the timing led us to moving into our first condo together in May 2025 thinking it was our future home. Through all the crazy ups and downs the best part of that chapter is bringing our sweet pea brain boy home Obi Cat Kenobi. Just in case I hadn’t already locked him in, I thought what better way to swindle Collins into wanting to marry me than to suggest we name our cat after his favorite Star Wars character! Now comes the next chapter I call chaos. We finally pull the plug on the condo we lived in and found another condo we absolutely adored so we did it, we officially bought our condo and were moving again, make that 3 times in one year. We closed the day before boarding a plane to Florida for Thanksgiving and all I remember is telling Collins “ok we really have to start saving.” Then he randomly suggests we go to DC for New Years again. But what happened to not spending money…. As good as my intuition usually is, I missed all the signs. He was already planning to pop the question and I truly had no idea. He says he was literally shaking in his boots for an entire month leading up to it, thankfully it was frigid outside so that helped cover it up. I couldn’t have asked for a more thoughtful and meaningful moment to have shared with Collins. He planned all by himself to take me to the same place on the same night that I first told him I loved him to ask me to marry him and it truly was magical. We have not only grown to know each other more than we have ever known another person but I truly believe we have also grown to know and love ourselves even more with the support of each other. I personally never thought I could find a person to fit so perfectly beside me in life but Collins fits that mold to a T! We bring out the best parts in each other and I’m just so happy to have someone that I am thrilled to race home to each night. If you know anything about us as individuals, just a woman who had never been loved and a man who had never been appreciated who met at the exact right moment in life when we both needed it most. And now we are so excited to become husband and wife ♥️♥️♥️
