Justin and Ally FaceTimed almost everyday while Justin was away in Kuwait with the Army. When Justin returned he asked Ally on a 10 day vacation to Disney World and the Bahamas. What a way to set the bar!

Justin took Ally to Bar Harbor, Maine for the weekend. Planning to see the sunrise atop Cadillac Mountain and propose there, Justin realized they needed a reservation. Of course, reservations were full, but you know what was another option? Hiking the mountain. A quick trip to Walmart to buy hiking gear, and a little bit of research, Ally and Justin started the shortest route to the top of the mountain.... just a quick 3.5 hour hike, at midnight, in the complete darkness. Two hours into the hike and completely lost in the dark, they stopped to look at a map. With just the light from their headlamps Ally finds something shiny on the ground. She picks up an engagement ring! Justin in total shock grabs the ring and gives it back to Ally saying, "I have no idea what that is." Ally pockets the pretty ring and they move on with their journey into the darkness. Justin grabs Ally's hand and pulls out ANOTHER RING. That's right, the ring on the ground was a total anomaly. Justin proposes with the ring of Ally's dreams, and of course she says yes, and cries. Talk about a sign from above that THIS was the moment. We never made it to the top of Cadillac Mountain for sunrise but we found a beach and watched the stars. We made a few wishes on shooting stars and happily went to bed, just as the sun was peaking its head.
