Travel Note

General Travel Information

Thank you for visiting our travel page! There is a heavy travel requirement for our wedding day, so this is just a brief break down. First you will take a flight from your home country to Accra, Ghana, then you can take another flight or travel by bus to the northern region of Ghana, called Tamale. Tamale is where we will be hosting all of our wedding events, so you will need to plan for accommodation for a minimum of four days. From there you are free to explore the country as you desire, we have a couple recommendations in the "Things to do" tab! We would be more than happy to help you select the best international flight options, regional flight options, bus transportation, and hotel options once you notify us that you are attending our international wedding.

Kotoka International Airport

This is the international airport of Ghana! You will arrive here first, before taking a flight to Tamale. Southern Ghana has most of the tourist attractions, so make sure you set aside some extra time here in the city before you return to your home country.

Tamale Regional Airport

You can choose to get to Tamale via air (1 hour flight) or ground (12 hours by bus). We highly recommend going by air, and would be happy to help you make travel arrangements with Africa World Air or Passion Air if you need assistance!

Modern City Hotel is a very convenient accommodation option since it is our wedding reception venue and very close to our family home in Tamale. This would be a very convenient location for you to get easy transportation to and from all wedding events!
